This is a nice little coffee maker. The size is perfect for one person. It makes about 2.5 mugs of coffee. The filter is mesh and extremely easy to clean. Overall I'm very pleased with this product.
I find this perfect for my needs, namely a single person living alone. It can make 6 cups (=3 mugs), which is what i drink a day when at home, and the hot plate works fine and keeps the coffee nice and hot all day.
Further, one can safely make a single cup of coffee whilst, with larger machines, you must make at least 2 cups otherwise they burn out. This happened to me which is why I wanted this machine!
I do have minor quibbles
a)the casing is flimsy, but what does one expect for this price and if you treat it with respect then it's fine,
b)the new plastic smell took 3 flushes of water to remove it rather than just 1, and
c)I prefer paper coffee filters to the permant ones and I'm currently ripping off the top 2cms from size 4 filters. I've written to the vendor to ask what is the correct size, but they have yet to reply. (I'll update this review if/when they do). The filters required are small have flat bottoms: any suggestions?
