Krups ProAroma FMD395 Filter Coffee Machine, Stainless Steel Front, 1.25 Litres

Product Description

Manufacturer's Description
For those who value the perfect cup of filter coffee, the Krups Expert Pro Aroma is the appliance for you.
It features an aroma selector, which allows the power to be reduced and a slower flow of water through the ground coffee to extract more flavour and aroma for better-tasting coffee. The Pro Aroma has a strength selector for small or large quantities of coffee and a visible water level indicator.
The Pro Aroma has a 1.25-litre removeable, easy-to-fill water tank and a stop and serve function, meaning you can take the jug away mid-cycle. The glass jug is dishwasher safe. The machine is 1100W and features cord storage and non-slip feet.
This machine provides all you need to smell that wonderful aroma of freshly-made coffee every morning.

    Customer Reviews

I love this machine - I can't fault it. I deliberately sought out a non-permanent filter machine because using the paper filters is better for cholesterol levels. I've never seen the point in timers and wot-not - this has all you need to make a lovely jug of coffee. I've had it a couple of weeks and it hasn't dripped once on the hotplate during or after jug removal - nor has the spout dribbled when pouring the coffee into cups. It's very quiet until the end of the water cycle. The water gauge corresponds well to the scale on the jug fairly well as I can see (only used up to four so far). I really really love it. Stylish, well-made, relatively unobtrusive, works perfectly.
    UPDATE:
Now I've used the machine for a few months, I can give a little more realistic feedback: I'm still very pleased with this machine, but it does have a couple of small faults -
    1) My machine very occasionally (once every couple of months) gets air bubbles/clogs in the water gauge rendering it inaccurate, but this is easily fixed by filling the water reservoir to max and letting it run through the machine without coffee and it should read as normal for the next use. Future design should work to avoid this.
    2) The plastic lid to the reservoir curls up at the sides a few millimetres due to the steam heating it up. This is only an aesthetic (and quality) matter as it in no way effects the functioning of the machine - it just looks a bit odd.
Aside from these niggling things, for the price, I'm still very pleased and I'm getting quite attached to it.

Bought the machine a few months ago. Rather stylish and takes little space, most importantly, makes good coffee.
Not much to complain about, just two odd things. The water steam bends the top lid (where you top up with water) but it reverts back when it cools down. The closing mechanism for the filter is also a little hard, you can't close it with one hand easily. Consider the price this is not much to complain about.
Prefer this type where you change the filter, feels a bit cleaner.
However, if you have the space, money and want a top machine go for the mocha master KB741. Last for years and makes excellent coffee.
